IT Project Manager

Description:

SC-B Consulting, Inc. is seeking a qualified IT Project Manager to manage our software development team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various digital projects.
For this position, we expect you to be a tech-savvy professional who is methodical and has excellent time management skills. As a IT project manager, you should also use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Ultimately, you should be able to manage and deliver our projects’ digital life-cycle within quality, time and budget requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides project development, implementation, and planning for solutions consistent with customer requirements and industry standards, especially those involving multi-departmental high-visibility applications and/or technologies

  • Responsible for teams doing work flow analysis, scope development, implementation planning, defining deliverables, change management processes, and resource allocation activities

  • Develops project requirements and identifies success factors, while managing sponsor expectations and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Coordinate project activities and internal resources, while monitoring and controlling project performance

  • Is the primary source for leading Information Technology transition efforts from project activities to operational support activities

  • Communicates project details to stakeholders and sponsors

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and implement projects

  • Supports complex implementations projects using technical, financial, business and Information Technology skills

  • Serves as an expert-level resource for all Information Technology projects, helping peers to align their projects to government standards

  • Mentor’s Information Technology staff and management on project management standards / best practices

  • Is the key resource for managing large Information Technology projects

  • Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new projects

 

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Ideal candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s in information technology field and have a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate; proven experience also accepted in lieu of a PMP Certificate.

  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector, with a minimum 4 years’ experience managing increasing complex IT systems.

  • Information Assurance certification is desired

  • Understand development methodologies, tools and techniques

  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality associated with proprietary or other sensitive information

  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

  • Solid organizational skills and time management skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Communication and team management skills

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to pass a background check
