About the Role

SC-B Consulting is seeking a technically inclined and dynamic Project Manager. This position requires a high preforming, organized individual that can manage a team, collaborate with cross-discipline internal teams, as well as strategic partners to successfully complete projects for our clients. Projects will require a creative and practical person to identify and solve unforeseen issues with innovative and proven solutions for our clients.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and is responsible to ensure project is meeting milestones and deliverable during project lifecycle.

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan that is defined by the project’s scope, deliverables, budget, and implementation plans; including risk mitigation consistent with customer requirements, industry, and government standards, especially those involving multi-departmental high-visibility applications and/or technologies

  • Responsible for performing workflow analysis, change management processes, resource allocation activities, and solving issues that arise including missing data and customer requests

  • Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation according to customer and company requirements, along with industry and government standards

  • Communicate project details to team members, all stakeholders including clients and vendors.

  • Lead and/or participate in project meeting, in-progress reviews, and out briefings

  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through consistent communication to keep them informed of matters requiring timely action, change requests and issue resolution.

  • Prepare regular status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.

  • Development of communication / presentation materials for projects.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and accountability of the assigned team that will include internal staff and outside vendors.

  • Provide your team with a detailed plan, guidance, training, and motivation.

  • Delegate project tasks based on team member’s individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.

  • Track team performance and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget

  • Where necessary, collaborate with cross-discipline teams to design, develop and implement projects

  • Evaluate project and staff performance to identify areas for improvement.

  • Business Development

  • Engage with existing and potential clients to create or identify new opportunities.

  • Develop proposals to present and implement in collaboration with internal and external. Stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain relationships/partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers.

  • Attend and present at trade shows and conferences.


What You Need for This Role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, architecture, project management or related field, required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Pass a background check

  • Be a strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to adjust and work with shifting priorities, demands, and schedules

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Possess a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality associated with proprietary or other sensitive information

SC-B’s A/E Team provides services and uses methods and technologies such as:

 

  • Energy modeling with EnergyPlus or similar

  • CAD and 3D modeling software

  • Microsoft Office Applications

  • Uses knowledge in electrical systems; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems; high-performing or green buildings; air quality; or energy procurement.

  • Evaluate construction design information such as detail and assembly drawings, design calculations, system layouts and sketches, or specifications.

  • Develop field and technical reports; create models of engineering designs or methods; and presentations as needed.

  • Conduct energy audits to evaluate energy use, costs, or conservation measures.

  • Perform or assist with energy modeling, measurement and verification (M&V), commissioning (Cx), or retro-commissioning (RCx).

  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, or create graphical representations of energy consumption data.

  • Identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation.

  • Consult with construction or renovation clients or other engineers on topics such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or Green Buildings; and advise others regarding green practices or environmental concerns.

  • Conduct research or collect data on renewable or alternative energy systems/technologies, their design, and application; energy production, its use, and conservation.
